Waiter- Chef de rang Michelin Star Restaurant

  • Salary: 16k + up to 5k, tips total earnings 21k
Job Description:
Objective: Responsible for providing a regular, reliable and quality service and to respond promptly, courteously and professionally to the guest needs.
Responsibilities

Financial
 To record the loss through spoilage or waste and report the loss to the Head Waiter immediately.
 To take care of all equipment given to you, and report any loss or damage.

People
 Develop a professional working relationship with all team members and staff
 To respond to Head Waiters and Managers promptly at all times
 To demonstrate a high team spirit by helping the Commis Waiters and assisting and supporting the Head Waiters
 To supervise the Commis de Rang, guiding them and helping them to control the service.
 To help our guests in any way possible.
 To maintain good communication between the Commis de Rang and the kitchen.
 To be respectful and respond positively to demands from the guests and Restaurant Management team.
 To assist other departments from time to time and help with any request made to you by a senior member of staff.

Service and Product
 To have a very good knowledge of all the dishes and of the menu.
 To be aware of dietary requirements for the guests and ensure these are communicated to the kitchen.
 To ensure a high level of hospitality through a high standard of prompt and courteous service.
 To ensure all guest celebrations and occasions are acknowledged and that the appropriate flowers, chocolates or plaques are ready prior to service.
 To demonstrate promptness, anticipation, and organisation to deal with the different aspects of the position.
 To provide room service, preparing orders and delivering trays at breakfast and throughout the day.
 To participate in service and be aware of your role in the smooth running of the restaurant
 To participate in the daily restaurant MEP for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as business requires, ensuring the smooth running of the service.
 To lay up the tables by using the appropriate cutleries, accordingly to our clients standards.
 To maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness or uniform and personal hygiene at all times.
